Trekking FAQs – Safe Travel

1. What is included in the trekking package?
Our trekking packages include guided support, accommodation (camping or lodge), meals, permits, and basic safety gear. Transportation to and from the base location may vary by trek.

2. Are your treks safe for beginners?
Yes, we have beginner-friendly treks designed with gradual ascents, professional guides, and safety protocols. Our team ensures every participant’s well-being throughout the journey.

3. What should I pack for a trek?
We recommend carrying a sturdy backpack, trekking shoes, water bottle, light jacket, raincoat, sunscreen, torch, and personal medications. A complete checklist is shared upon booking confirmation.

4. How fit do I need to be for trekking?
A basic level of physical fitness is sufficient for short treks. For moderate and high-altitude treks, some prior fitness training or hiking experience is advised.

5. What happens if the weather turns bad?
In case of extreme weather, treks may be postponed or rerouted for safety. We always keep travelers informed and offer alternative dates or refund options.

6. Are medical facilities available during the trek?
Our trek leaders carry a first-aid kit and are trained for emergency response. However, remote areas may have limited medical access, so participants with medical conditions should inform us in advance.

7. What are the best months for trekking in India?
The ideal months depend on the region —

Himachal & Uttarakhand: April–June, September–November

Maharashtra (Sahyadris): July–February

Kerala & South India: October–March

8. Do you provide trekking gear?
Yes, we provide tents, sleeping bags, and common camping gear. Personal items like jackets, shoes, and backpacks must be carried by participants.

9. Is travel insurance included?
Insurance is not included by default but can be added on request. We recommend having travel insurance covering high-altitude activities.

10. How do I book a trek with Safe Travel?
You can book directly on safetravel.in
by selecting your preferred destination, dates, and group size. Our team will confirm your slot and share all details via email and WhatsApp.
